As technology is changing every single day it is hard to keep up with it. Our aim in information technology at Mirriwinni State School is for the students to be up to date with technology and ready by the time they get to high school.
At Mirriwinni we have a set of micro skills that we follow as guidelines when teaching the children new skills. We use these as a checklist for each individual student on these skills. They range from computer and operating systems, peripherals and multimedia, word processing, publishing, spreadsheets, databases, drawing and painting, problem solving, presentation, web publishing and internet usage.
