Mirriwinni is a close knit community with a population of around 200 people supported mainly by the cane, banana and pawpaw industries.
Mirriwinni has many services including a garage, post office, tennis court and cricket club. Babinda is about 8 km north of Mirriwinni having its own bank, restaurants, butcher, bakery, hardware and many other services.
Our school participates in the annual Babinda Harvest Festival, where students have fun on the back of a float and share their work through a static display.
