Enrolments

​What do you need to know

• Children and young people are entitled to enrol at their closest appropriate school.
• All applications for enrolment must be made on the student enrolment form. When creating official school records, the name on the child's birth certificate is used. However students are able to enrol under a surname the enrolling parent requests if such an action is not intended to defraud, to contravene a court order or infringe the other parent’s rights.
• To be eligible for prep, children must be five years of age by 30 June in the year they intend to commence prep. Early entry to prep is only available if a child meets certain criteria.
• Early entry to year 1 is available as a strategy for meeting the educational and developmental needs of young children.

Mirriwinni State School does not have an enrolment management plan.
